1 Hack that will Change your Life: The 80/20 Rule
We’ve worked with hundreds of small business owners at this point.
Want to know the number one bottleneck?
Focusing too much time on doing MORE to get MORE.
Rather than simplifying and focusing on LESS to get MORE.
It’s simple really.
If you are brutally honest with yourself, how much time during the day do you spend on things that are not truly moving the needle in your business?
The consensus on this question for almost everyone is… too much.
We have a simple principle to share that we believe has the power to change your business… and maybe even your LIFE. Maybe you’ve heard of it…
It’s called the 80/20 Rule, and it’s also known as the Pareto Principle.
The 80/20 rule, also known as the Pareto Principle, states that roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes or inputs. It is a concept named after the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who observed that 80% of the wealth was owned by 20% of the population. This principle has been found applicable in various areas of life, including business, productivity, time management, and personal development.
In business, the 80/20 rule suggests that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts or customers. It emphasizes the importance of identifying and focusing on the key factors or activities that generate the majority of your desired outcomes. By recognizing and prioritizing the vital few, you can achieve greater efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
Here’s what we suggest…
Start today. Look at your business and ask yourself… what 20% of my effort and time is yielding the best result? Refocus on that. Double down on that and let the rest go.
Doing more will just spread your attention and energy. Too thin.
We’ve seen it time and time again.
If you truly want to make a bigger impact whittle it down! Do more of what moves the needle and less of what doesn’t.
Revisit this exercise weekly, or at minimum monthly and apply it other areas of your life.
For a real brilliant deep dive into this topic you have to read Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy’s book, “10X is Easier than 2x”.
Now, let’s be real you have to know and love Dan Sullivan - he is fantastic. We also believe wholeheartedly that Ben Hardy is the Greatest of All Time (🐐)… he is a Doctor of improving your life and literally wrote the book on mastering your mindset to create better results (actually many books on it)!

2 Tweaks to Help you Double your Revenue Without Spending More Time
Are you ready to supercharge your revenue without sacrificing more time and effort?
We’ve got two high impact tweaks to implement immediately.
#1 Automate
Want better results in your business without spending way too much time? Automation is KING. We live in an era of incredible technology. Is it tedious to implement a new system and learn how to use it? … YES!
But, is the 10ish hours you’l invest upfront to master a system to automate your business worth the hundreds or even thousands of hours you’ll get back in the long run? … HECK YES!
Here’s our fave tools for setting up some wicked sweet automations to crush your lead gen + nurture and boost your revenue:
Thehammer.ai
Okay, yes… we are shamelessly plugging our own platform. But, here’s why…
Considered hiring a VA or appointment setter to help you with your lead management and organization? How about a full-time digital assistant that works 24/7 365 (no days off, no sick time, and little oversight required)... Yes, that’s right. You can get all of that through TheHammer.AI. It has the power to be your full-time back office employee that handles all of your follow-ups, email sequences, messages, texts, campaigns, and SO much more.
Zapier
Zapier is a web-based automation tool that allows you to connect various apps and automate workflows without the need for coding knowledge. It acts as a bridge between different applications, enabling them to communicate and share data seamlessly.
With Zapier, you can create "Zaps," which are automated workflows that connect two or more apps. A Zap consists of a trigger event from one app that initiates an action in another app. For example, you can set up a Zap to automatically save email attachments from Gmail to your preferred cloud storage service or create a new task in your project management tool whenever a new customer is added to your CRM

#2 Expand your Reach
We’ve said it before and we will quote it again. Your NETWORK = YOUR NETWORTH.
There’s a true correlation between the most successful and impactful people an the size of their reach. We know how hard this is… because just like all of you, we struggle!
The biggest and best takeaway for this tweak is… don’t give up! Keep meeting people, keep posting, keep optimizing your message and keep trying to figure out what WORKS to build your audience and expand your reach. The best breakthroughs come from struggle. Don’t be afraid to test new methods of growing your reach, and failing miserably.
At the end of the day, this is the best way to learn.

Where and How do Entrepreneurs Waste the Most Time?
Here’s some insane data to check out and think about where in your business you are wasting precious time…
According to Forbes, on average people respond to 40 emails per day.
Not too crazy… but, here’s where it gets wild…
The average entrepreneur will check their email 36 times an hour.
It takes some people up to 16 minutes to refocus after handling incoming email.
It can take as much as 23 minutes to recover from any distraction at work, including email.
Key Takeaway: Be mindful about your inbox! Section off specific times in the day dedicated to handling emails and requests, AND / OR automate as much as possible to keep your focus on the things that matter most.
Next, the deadly scroll trap…
39% of entrepreneur’s admitted to getting distracted by things on the internet
38% admitted to wasting time on social media
And that’s just the amount of people who would admit it!
This one can be tough if part or all of your leads come directly from your social media presence. Again, the key takeaway is [insert drumroll].
Key Takeaway: Time management. Set parameters around your social media time. Set a scheduled for you to interact and engage with your audience if this is part of your business and be mindful and intentional about the time you spend!
Finally, are you working ON or IN your business?
Owners spend 32% of their time working ON the business BUT 73% prefer spending their time on these strategic types of activities.
How much time are you spending working IN your business… fulfilling tasks and duties that take up (statistically) 68% of your time, but may be yielding less actual growth?!
Key Takeaway: Audit your time. Review how much of it you are spending IN versus ON for a week. Take notes and review. If you are spending less than 40% ON the business you may want to consider applying the 80/20 rule and introducing automation to help tip your own scales!
