Simplifying Success: The Power of People in Business Growth

It’s funny how we as entrepreneurs complicate the whole business process. If you are a fan of the tv show “The Profit” you know Mark Lemonis always talks about the three pieces of your business, the people, the process, and the product. That is how simple business is.

Oh but is it? We have talked a lot about the product or the offer which has to be something of a no-brainer for your perfect client. The process is an organized way to deliver that product, but that is not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about the people.

What people? The three people who drive the process. What there are three? Yes, there is you, your team, and your customers. If they all “feel” like it, you will have a successful business.

How do we make “the people” feel like it? Well, let’s dive into each of the people.

You are at the top of this pyramid.

You are the engine and no one will care more about your business than you so how do we optimize ourselves for success?

We make sure we show up every day with the big picture thinking and making big picture moves in our business as our map.

We take care of our health, mood, and energy on a daily basis.

As we grow, we remove ourselves as the bottleneck replacing us with someone who is a high performer in the areas with the most leverage first.

How do we optimize our team?

We sell our team on our vision, and our mission and connect their “why” with ours.

We take care and provide our team with everything they need to be successful and to feel appreciated.

We push our team to be the best they can be.

How do we optimize our customers or clients?

It first starts with us aligning our messaging with their “why” in all of our marketing.

We give as much value as we can from free to fee, no matter what!

We put people above profits.

If we can truly adopt the “people above profits” montre, then we will have the gasoline that will fuel this machine to success. It starts with putting people, including you, in the spotlight of care, attention, and doing what is best for people.

Did you know he missed more shots than any other player in the history of basketball, with around 14,481 failed attempts? Anybody that achieves continual success, understands that it takes a ton of failed attempts to find the success.

There is no silver bullet or magic pill. Most see success and think, "I wish I could have that,” but most people don't realize what it takes actually to achieve that.

It takes a lot from a person to fail consistently over and over again, get up, and continue with the optimism and fortitude it takes even when they don't feel like it.

I don’t know what season of life you're in right now, but I encourage you to continue through hard times to get to the treasure on the other side.
