The Top 3 Things The Future Of Successful Leadership Will Embrace That Poor Leadership Misses

By: Jason Feltman

You probably already know employee turnover sucks and can be a real money drain on your business. Constantly losing and replacing employees will also cost you lost productivity and decreased morale.

But there's good news! By making a few tweaks, you can not only create a positive work environment that keeps your employees happy and engaged, but you can save your business some serious cash.

So, here are the top three things the future of successful leadership are embracing that you can to:

#1 Embrace digital chat programs…
  • Hop on board with technology and use chat platforms like Slack to improve productivity, especially for remote teams.

  • Encourage positive and fun communication on the platform, cheering each other on and showing good manners like quick response times and a caring attitude.

  • Create a supportive chat community to harness its power.

#2: Have a strong mission for your business and connect it to your team's "why"…
  • Refine and clarify your business mission.

  • Make sure your team understands and connects with the mission, and feels part of something bigger than themselves.

  • Create a bridge between your business mission and your team's personal "why".

  • My why leads back to my faith in God, I make sure my business mission aligns with my personal why and vice versa.

  • Help your team see how their work connects to the bigger picture and contributes to the mission's success.

#3: Make sure your whole leadership team embraces emotional intelligence.
  • Especially for your leadership team, it's not just about understanding others' emotions, but about managing and regulating their own emotions.

  • Emotional intelligence helps build better relationships, communicate more effectively, and create a positive work environment.

  • Investing in emotional intelligence training for yourself and your team can have a huge impact on your overall success as a leader.

  • Use assessments like DISC profile and Clifton Strengths Finder to know yourself and your team better.

Effective leadership is crucial for any business that wants to succeed in today's fast-paced, ever-changing world. Embracing digital communication tools, establishing a strong mission, and developing emotional intelligence, allows leaders to create an environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and innovation.

But don't forget, your team is the backbone of your business and the most valuable asset you have. By investing in their development, nurturing their talents, and creating a positive work culture, you can unlock their full potential and drive your business to new heights of success.

Always remember that your team is the key to unlocking the greatest financial success for your business, so prioritize their development and nurture their talents!

Beyond the Finish Line: Part 2

By: Kalyca Zarich

If you missed part 1 from last Tuesday - hit me up and I’ll send it to you - or check out the post at blog.impactandfreedom.com

Back to the under-represented and infrequently discussed topic at hand societal norms, identity, and unrealistic self-expectations.

Last week I shared how I got stuck in a loop of ego-driven, joy-robbing, results-focused behaviors that left me feeling utterly unfulfilled.

If last week’s article left you curious…

I do actually believe that results, goals and outcomes ARE important for us to live into our full potential.

So, I’m not proposing that we live a life void of these pursuits.

What I am proposing is that we redefine our why … and the way we relate to results.

You want to generate 3 million in revenue? Great.

You want to run a marathon or summit a 14er? Do it!

You’re adamant about building a great company that creates opportunities for people? Amen.

You want your audience to grow to 500k and impact more lives. Get after it.

AND all of these things will be so much more fulfilling (I PROMISE) if you let something BIGGER THAN your result drive you.

What the H? That sounds daunting… I know. But, it’s actually not that crazy in practice.

What if instead of focusing on a single objective you expanded your view?

As I’ve grown, developed, and searched - seeking support, wisdom, and God I will share where I’ve landed in hopes it will serve as an example of what I mean.

My new focus is on creating freedom. My why is freedom.

On my life’s journey I want the freedom to serve others at the highest level possible. I want the freedom to experience life to is’t absolute fullest. I seek the freedom to explore, adventure, and create as the most authentic version of myself. Through freedom I can see no end to the horizon of what will become available for me in this life.

So, freedom is my reason. Freedom is my focus. Freedom is my why.

On my quest for freedom I’ve been opened to so many incredible opportunities that I may have otherwise missed had my eyes been glued to an arbitrary prize.

I’ll close this with two freedom hacks that I’ve stumbled upon that can hopefully impact you too:

Freedom Hack #1 - Margin makes Momentum

What to create more momentum toward your personal, professional, or financial goals? MAKE MORE MARGIN. The more space you create for yourself to breathe, the more momentum you will gain toward the things that deeply matter for your deepest why. AND, note that frantic decision making out of time, money, or bandwidth constraints will never get you anywhere.

Freedom Hack #2 - Work Hard and Tech Harder

Do you have any idea the power of the tools that are now available to us through generative AI?! If you are constantly feeling behind, overwhelmed, stressed, strapped for time, or anything along those lines… you have a new ace in your back pocket. The tech tools at our disposal are an incredible means to create massive efficiency in your weekly workload. Just imagine how free you’d feel if you offloaded 10 hours of work from your plate by implementing AI!?

Before you go… a lasting reflection question, “how different would your world be if you redefined and expanded your why”?

When I grow up I want to be like Dennis Barnes…

A high school senior who broke the record for most college offers and largest total sum of scholarship money offered in history with a total of over $9 million from 125 colleges and universities.

HOW though?!

Barnes applied to 200 schools and has maintained an outstanding 4.98 GPA at a prestigious international high school. That’s some serious commitment.

Why am I telling you this??

Barnes serves as an awesome reminder of how persistence, determination, and casting a broad net pays dividends. This is obviously true for admissions - and it’s also applicable to your business. Sooooo… cast that net and don’t you dare give up!

The Future of Crypto

Venture capitalist and tech investor Chamath Palihapitiya has flipped his script about bitcoin with a grim outlook on the flip of the crypto coin. Palihapitiya was quoted recently on the All-In podcast stating that, “crypto is dead in America”. A stark contrast to his long-time support and investment in digital currency.

Why the sudden change of heart?

Palihapitiya and other crypto gurus are pointing the finger at regulatory actions and SEC enforcement for the demise of crypto.

Who cares?

Economic instability produced by crypto companies fleeing oversees could have implications for all business owners, not just those invested in crypto. As always, knowledge is power and keeping an eye on trendtastic tales will better prepare you to pivot in the future if necessary.

Elon determines Immortality Now

Twitter recently reversed its verified account policy to reinstate the Blue Checks for deceased celebs like Michael Jackson and Kobe Bryant. In case you didn’t already know the blue checks now get priority on the feed and they cost a monthly fee.

Nepotism ain’t dead.

Nobody knows exactly how the reinstated blue checks were decided. Though sources have suggested that Musk has been hand picking the people of influence he wants to, “grandfather in” without having to pay the $8 monthly fee.

What’s it to ya?

If you use Twitter to reach your target audience you may want to consider the benefits of securing the premium subscription before the price inevitably goes up!
