How to Drive Your Employees Nuts
Today, I want to dive deep into a topic that has been both a personal struggle and a pivotal learning experience for me – how to harness my whirlwind personality without driving my incredible team nuts.
You see, when I started my journey as a business owner, I assumed that everyone would be just as excited and adaptive as me. Picture me bursting into the office, brimming with enthusiasm about a new idea, only to find that over time, it wore down on my team. I learned the hard way that while I thrived on the chaos, others craved reliability and consistency.
But fear not, my fellow Impact Makers, for I have gathered some priceless insights on how to strike a balance between creative chaos and team stability. So buckle up and let's ride this rollercoaster of knowledge together!
First and foremost, impulse control is the name of the game. Even as an adult, I struggle with it, and I'm sure many of you do too. Our brains crave that impulsive rush of energy, but our teams need more stability. So, I suggest setting up an idea board where you can dump all your thoughts and inspirations. Whether it's loom videos or Apple Notes, find a digital sanctuary where you can iterate and reflect on your ideas without overwhelming your team. Let those ideas marinate for a while, and you'll be surprised to see which ones flourish and which ones fade away.
But that's not all, my friends. It's essential to create a safe space for idea-sharing. Designate specific days or periods to present your out-of-the-box concepts to your team. Transparency and self-awareness are vital here. Let your team know that you understand their need for consistency, and assure them that these ideas won't be implemented right away. This way, you can still indulge your excitement while giving everyone time to process and digest the possibilities. Trust me; this structured approach will help you prioritize and refine your ideas – that soaring momentum you crave will find its focus.
Now, let's address an equally important element – appreciation. Whirlwind personalities like ours can sometimes come across as though we don't fully appreciate those around us. However, it's crucial to let our teams know how grateful we are for their unwavering support. Schedule moments to express your gratitude and acknowledge their efforts. A simple message of recognition goes a long way in nurturing a healthy and harmonious working environment.
Lastly, my fellow Impact Makers, embrace intentionality. I know it might not sound exciting, but slowing down and being more deliberate allows us to unlock the true potential of our creative chaos. By being intentional, we force ourselves to prioritize, simplifying our whirlwind of ideas into tangible goals. Trust me when I say that constraints can actually be liberating and lead to astonishing results. In today's world of endless possibilities, narrowing your focus can be the key to truly making an impact.
So I leave you with this challenge – embrace the chaos within, but remember the importance of consistency for your team. Seek impulse control, create safe spaces for idea-sharing, and always express gratitude. As you nurture your creative spirit, let intentionality guide your journey to empowerment.
Stay inspired, stay impactful, and remember, the path to greatness is not solitary – it's paved with a united team.
Channel your whirlwind nature, but uphold the importance of consistency for your team.

The Art of Patience: Slow and Steady Wins the Race
In the hustle and bustle of the business world, we often hear the saying, “Time is money.” While it’s true that time is a valuable resource, let’s talk about something equally crucial for success: patience. King Solomon’s wisdom in the Book of Proverbs reminds us that “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” In simpler terms, slow and steady wins the race in business.
Why Patience Matters in Business:
In our fast-paced society, the pressure to achieve instant success can be overwhelming. But rushing into decisions, investments, or business expansions without careful consideration can lead to costly mistakes. Here’s why patience is your secret weapon:
1. Better Decision Making: Patience allows you to make well-informed decisions. Take the time to research, analyze, and weigh your options. Don’t jump into something without thinking it through.
2. Building Stronger Foundations: Just like a house needs a solid foundation to stand the test of time, your business requires a stable base. Patiently working on your business’s fundamentals ensures it can weather storms and grow sustainably.
3. Long-Term Relationships: Patience is key when dealing with clients, partners, and employees. It helps you build trust and lasting relationships, which are crucial for success in any industry.
Actionable Steps to Cultivate Patience in Your Business
Now that we understand the importance of patience, let’s dive into some actionable steps to incorporate it into your business approach:
1. Develop a Plan: Instead of rushing into a new venture, create a detailed business plan. This should include market research, financial projections, and a clear strategy. Patience in planning pays off in execution.
2. Set Goals: Establish achievable short-term and long-term goals for your business. Patience doesn’t mean standing still; it means steadily progressing toward your objectives.
3. Embrace Constant Learning: Be open to learning and adapting. Stay patient when facing challenges, view them as opportunities to grow, and be flexible in adjusting your strategies.
4. Seek Mentorship: Connect with mentors who can provide guidance and share their experiences. Learning from those who have been down the same road can save you from impulsive decisions.
5. Practice Mindfulness: Incorporate mindfulness techniques into your daily routine. Meditation or simply taking a moment to reflect can help you stay calm and make thoughtful choices.
6. Measure Progress: Regularly evaluate your progress and adjust your course if needed. Patience doesn’t mean stubbornly sticking to a failing plan but rather staying committed to your long-term vision.
7. Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge and celebrate small milestones along the way. Recognizing achievements, no matter how minor, keeps motivation high during the journey.
Building a successful business takes time. Patience is not a sign of weakness but a testament to your commitment to long-term success. So, as you navigate the exciting world of entrepreneurship, take a deep breath, slow down when necessary, and trust in the process. Your patience will be rewarded with resilience, wisdom, and sustainable growth.
Here’s to your patient pursuit of greatness in the business world!

But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
