I've been thinking a lot about the concept of finding freedom in our businesses and lives lately. As entrepreneurs, we often start by wanting to do everything ourselves – it's how we get scrappy and build our businesses from the ground up. But here's the catch – there comes a point where we have to take a step back and hand off certain tasks to others. Trust me, I've been there.

I recently had a moment of clarity when I realized that my obsession with figuring everything out on my own was actually becoming a hindrance. It was slowing down the momentum of my projects and hindering my ability to scale the business. And I'm sure many of you can relate. We get so hyper-focused on the "how" that we forget about the "who." I mean, finding the right person for the job can be a game-changer.

I shared a story about how I had to shift my focus to the insurance agency, and that's when I learned the valuable lesson of working on my business, not just in it. But as life goes, I found myself once again buried under the weight of tasks that I should have been delegating. It's a lesson we seem to keep learning until it finally clicks – find the "who's," don't be the bottleneck.

The irony is that I love building – not in the literal sense of construction, but in the realm of business and digital projects. However, I've come to understand that there needs to be a balance. We can't let our passion for diving into the weeds become a hindrance. As they say, "You can't be your own bottleneck."

So, my advice to myself and to all of you is to find the "who's." Whether it's through outsourcing, hiring, or collaborating with other businesses, finding the right people to take on certain tasks is crucial. It can free us up to focus on the big picture and keep the momentum going without losing sight of the ultimate goal.

On a personal note, I'm about to take a two-week vacation off the grid. Yes, no cell phone service, just me and nature. It's nerve-wracking, but also refreshing. It's those moments of stepping back and embracing the breather that really helps us appreciate everything we've built and accomplished.

I want to encourage you all to take a breather, appreciate yourselves, and recognize the great things that have been achieved. It's all about finding that balance between being in the moment and constantly pushing forward. So, let's all take a big deep breath and be grateful for our journey.
